Personally i think wifi
should always be free because websites get paid by advertisers and not by
people who provide internet. If advertisement slots are still being bought and
sold then somebody is getting paid and that is a good thing for everybody.
Internet provides like Viso and cable companies like Comcast and Dish Network
are going to get paid when they provide internet whether or not they charger
their clients because they are still getting paid from the websites charging
the advertisers. I guess this action that the Federal
Communications Commission wants to implicate is not going to hurt the internet
providers but just the cellphone plan providers like sprint t-mobile, at&t
and etc. I think with one of type market gone there will be room for a new type
of market to come in. Google and Microsoft says that it is a good idea and that
it will allow people to learn more and be innovative and it will also allow the
lower income homes to access the internet and apply online and learn various
things that are offered on the internet. If google and microsoft are not
apposing the idea than it is probably a good idea, although they are only
saying that it is ok because they are not being affected. The article says that
it will hurt the cellphone companies but i do not believe that and i think that
is just an exaggeration. As for the implications that the RIAA wants to put into action, i think that it is a good idea but like the article says the real rich and smart people are just going to get a business class broadbrand account package.
